Privacy Policy
Garage Heroes is a band-simulation game developed and operated by an individual developer ("we," "us"). This page explains what data we collect, why, who we share it with, and how you can control it. We've kept this short and plain — if anything is unclear, email lucas.martinic@gmail.com.
1. What we collect
- Account info — your email address (and a securely hashed password) when you create an account. Google Sign-In is also supported; we receive your email but never your Google password.
- Game data — your band's name, characters, songs, recordings, generated images, social posts, in-game stats, and progression. Stored on our server, tied to your account.
- Device + ad identifiers — only on the Android app: your Google Advertising ID, approximate region, and basic device info are processed by our ad partners (Unity Ads via LevelPlay) when you choose to watch a rewarded ad. You can reset your advertising ID at any time in your Android settings.
- Diagnostics — server-side request logs (IP address, timestamp, endpoint) retained for security and debugging. Not linked to your game identity beyond what's necessary to respond to your requests.
- Local browser storage — guest-mode token, session state, and UI preferences. Cleared when you sign out or clear your browser data.
2. Third parties we use
- Supabase — handles authentication and stores your email + password hash. Supabase privacy policy.
- Unity Ads via LevelPlay — serves rewarded video ads in the Android app, processes advertising identifiers to do so. Unity privacy policy. Not used on the web.
- Stripe — processes payments on the web version only. We never see your full card number. Stripe privacy policy. Stripe is disabled on Android; in-app stars on Android are earned through ads or future Play Billing purchases.
- Google AI (Gemini) — when you ask the game to generate an image (band photo, album cover), the prompt and any reference image you provided are sent to Google to produce the result. Google privacy policy.
- Pixazo (ACE-Step) — when you record a song, the song's metadata is sent to Pixazo's audio generation service.
3. Children
Garage Heroes is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us and we will delete the account and associated data.
4. How we use the data
- To run the game — store your band, deliver songs/images you generate, sync progress across devices.
- To authenticate you — keep your account secure, restore access when you sign in.
- To serve and credit rewarded ads (Android only, opt-in per ad).
- To debug issues and improve the game.
We do not sell personal information.
5. Your rights
You can request to access, export, or delete your data at any time. The fastest way to request deletion is via our dedicated page: Delete your account. For other requests (access, export, correction), email lucas.martinic@gmail.com. We'll respond within 30 days. EU/UK and California residents have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA — same contact, mention your jurisdiction so we route the request correctly.
6. Retention
Game data is retained as long as your account is active. When you request account deletion, we remove your band, characters, songs, images, and account record within 30 days. Server logs are retained up to 90 days.
7. Security
All traffic is served over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed by Supabase using industry-standard algorithms — we never see them in plain text. We take reasonable precautions but cannot guarantee absolute security; please use a unique password.
8. Changes
If we materially change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and flag the change inside the app on next launch.
9. Contact
