Delete Your Account
You can request deletion of your Garage Heroes account and all associated data at any time, free of charge. This page explains how, what gets deleted, and how long it takes.
1. How to request deletion
Email us from the address tied to your account with the subject line
Delete my account. Include your in-game band name if you remember it (helps us
locate your record quickly).
Or contact us directly at lucas.martinic@gmail.com.
2. What gets deleted
- Your account record (email, authentication identifiers)
- Your band (name, characters, traits, relationships)
- Your songbook (drafts, demos, singles, albums)
- Generated content (band photos, album covers, song audio)
- Social posts, gig history, weekly resolution reports
- Game state (week counter, hype, cash, credits, energy)
- Event history and email inbox
3. What is retained, and for how long
A small amount of data is kept after deletion for the limited purposes below:
- Server logs (IP, timestamp, endpoint) — up to 90 days, for security and abuse investigation. Not linked to your identity once your account is deleted.
- Aggregated, anonymous analytics (e.g. "100 bands released an album this week") — retained indefinitely. Contains no personal identifiers.
- Ad partner data — if you watched rewarded ads on Android, Unity Ads / LevelPlay may retain advertising-ID-linked data per their own policies. You can reset your Advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads, and opt out of personalized ads there.
4. Timeline
We process deletion requests within 30 days of receiving them. In practice most requests are completed within a few days. You'll receive a confirmation email when the deletion is complete.
5. Before you delete
Account deletion is permanent. Your band, songbook, albums, and progress cannot be restored after deletion completes. If you just want to stop playing, you can simply uninstall the app — your data will remain so you can return later.
6. Guest accounts
If you played as a Guest (no email), your data is tied to a device identifier. To delete it, email us with the approximate creation date and your band name; we'll locate and remove the record.
